For a while there, it seemed like there was no legal minimum age for a credit card at all. We’ve all heard tales of babies getting credit card applications, and I personally know someone whose young goat got one. (I’m not kidding here).
Things are still nebulous on this front, even in the wake of the infamous Credit CARD Act of 2009, which straightened out a lot of things credit card related. Let’s take a brief gander at the issue.

Have you ever had the strong urge to give your hard-earned money to someone strumming “Dust in the Wind” out of key at a vacant intersection? Well, neither have I. But London-based issuer Barclays hopes our apprehension will disappear with its new approach to street charity: a wireless, touchless, credit card accepting guitar.
The financial institution unveiled the instrument Thursday, Aug. 26, in London during a publicity stunt promoting its “contactless technology.” People passing by a street musician — known as a “busker” in the UK — were handed prepaid cards loaded with £5 and were instructed to wave it near the head of the guitar.

So the second step is here. We now have a Texas corporation and I applied for the DUNS number online and got it in 24 hours. I next went to vumber.com and got me a virtual number for the corp with the right area code for the city it is in. I then went to listourself.net and got the phone number listed.
past 3 days I then called the 1800 number to update my dnb credit report. I waited until the phone number shows up in 411 for me to update the information so that the number on file will match the one in 411. I ensured that the information updated included the fact that I have more than 10 employees and estimates that I will do more than $1MM in revenue for the year. I

If used correctly and the outstanding balance is cleared monthly, credit cards can be a free form of short-term finance. MBNA has recently introduced a great option for people who are looking to reduce their debts. Remember that credit cards do not have an automatic repayment mechanism, and try to not fall into the trap of reusing an overdraft facility to its limit shortly after existing debt has been transferred.

MBNA has introduced a new credit card that has no handling fee on balance transfers or money transfers made within the first 90 days of the account being opened.

These days, I think it’s a good idea to set up what I think of as a “limited use” credit card account for travel and Internet use. Instead of using your high-limit Visa or MasterCard to reserve a room or pay for World of Warcraft, use a more constrained card that can’t be easily hijacked for credit card fraud.
What the heck do I mean? Read on, and I’ll tell you.

Recently, yours truly was reading in a major metropolitan newspaper about a woman who stole people’s credit card numbers while booking hotel reservations for Marriott. She ran up more than $34,000 worth of purchases before she got caught. Read more…
